COSTECH Participates in the World Bank Mission for HEET Project Review and Future Planning
Dar es Salaam, April 2025 – The Tanzania Commission for Science and Technology (COSTECH) is actively participating in the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) project implementation meeting with the World Bank (WB).
The mission aims to review the project’s progress, ensuring it remains on track to achieve its Project Development Objectives (PDOs). Key areas of focus include evaluating the implementation of activities, fund disbursement across all components, and compliance with technical, managerial, fiduciary, and safeguard requirements.
Additionally, the mission seeks to provide technical guidance on the Universities Strategic Investment Plan, the Ministry and Agencies Investment Plan, and discuss the proposed request for additional financing under HEET.
During the discussions, COSTECH Procurement Specialist (CPS) Christopher Mwakabungu provided an update on the procurement status of the HEET project.
The meeting, which runs from April 2 to April 8, 2025, is being held at the University of Dar es Salaam Library Conference Hall.
